Organized by Brian Treptow, TSYS- one of our AMAZING sponsors, raised over $10,000 for Children First Academy of Tempe through the P.F. Change Marathon.  The school purchased two promethean (interactive white) boards filled with learning content and software that will be installed Friday.  We are so appreciative of their efforts on our children't behalf.

Students who participated in the marathon were rewarded with a special lunch and King's Fish House.  They learned to make shrimp and they got to play with the live lobsters.  They were treated so well by the staff and Kings Fish House and we want to let them know who much we appreciate their generosity.

On Saturday, January 15th, 2010, 25 students from Children First Academy of Tempe participated in Kid's Rock and Roll Marathon, which is part of  PF Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon and 1/2 Marathon. TSYS raised $9400 from their employees running in the marathon on behalf of Children First Academy students.  With the contribution, TSYS is providing 2 interactive whiteboards for our classrooms. Thanks so much TSYS!!

Kids gave up recess to run their required 25 miles ahead of time during school, then K they ran the last mile the day of the race.  Everyone finished and recieved a nice medal and a T-Shirt.

Thanks to Office Max for sponsoring our kids at up to $600 and sending volunteers to run with us the day of the marathon.

After the marathon all the students and volunteers came back to the school for a reward party with games and lunch.
